The Future Is the Past – Film Screening & Afterparty
December 12
22.00 h - late
CHF 20

For nearly twenty years, the Club Zukunft on Zurich’s Langstrasse was a central hub for musical innovation and independent club culture. The documentary by Stephan Schulz and Julian Kirchner takes a look behind the mirrored walls and profiles the people who shaped this place: Markus Ott, Sacha Winkler, and Alex Dallas.
Set against the backdrop of basslines and dawn, hedonism and gentrification, the film shows what a city loses when its cultural spaces disappear. Featured artists include Acid Pauli, Frank Wiedemann, Seth Troxler, Jimi Jules, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, and Adriatique. The film was produced entirely independently and financed through crowdfunding.
After the screening, the night continues right away: Alex Dallas and Svenskj bring the spirit of the “future” to the Riders Club.
