RAR: Riders Artist Residency at the Riders Hotel

During this week, we have the honor of hosting four exceptionally talented artists who will create and exhibit their work in our specially designed Art Space.

Thursday, July 18 - Draw Together

Whether you are an experienced artist or just like to doodle, we invite everyone to create art together. Drawing together promises to be an entertaining and inspiring experience.

Saturday, July 20 - Exhibition opening

From 19:00, you can admire the remarkable works that our artists have created during their stay. This evening will be a celebration of creativity, talent and artistic expression.

DJ BanzaiXX will be playing a live vinyl DJ set and create a summery vibe in the lobby and on the terrace.

Shannon Sweeney

Shannon is an action photographer from Lausanne. Her specialty is reworking images with different tools such as pastel, watercolor... While much of art - especially photography - is becoming more and more digital, she loves to visualize her images in a material way.

Vincent Grand

Vincent Grand is a graphic designer and illustrator from Bern who works in Biel/Bienne. He is a co-founder of the Hyperraum collective. His work includes various techniques, from traditional drawings to digital art. His focus is on climate and nature conservation issues.

Talina (Talinolou)

Talina, also known as Talinolou, is a freelance artist from Thurgau. She discovered her love for lino printing a few years ago and immersed herself in this technique during the 2020 lockdown. This also led her to screen printing and other printing techniques. Talina works both illustratively and on 3D projects. Her work is strongly inspired by music and lyrics, which bring her new ideas. The creative process always starts with quick hand sketches and/or scribbled words.

Alastair Knowles-Lenoir

Handsforfeet (also known as Alastair Knowles Lenoir) is an illustrator and sign painter from the United Kingdom. He loves nature and the chaotic signs in cities. He works with paint and brushes or digitally, using thick lines and bold colors to create fun and interesting works that everyone can enjoy. Instagram
